I'm in PA school wanting to go into psychiatry. I have used the other "Made Ridiculously Simple" books before so I figured I'd give this one a try. This was VERY helpful (much more so than the "Behavioral Medicine Made Ridiculously Simple") book. It explained the psychiatric disorders and provided explanations of treatments. There was a lot of nice charts for the medications. Everything was straightforward and simple to follow. This is a great resource for any health professional student!

This tiny little book contains a stunning amount of info on psychotropic meds. As a clinical social worker who works alongside a team of psychiatrists this is an invaluable resource. Contains many helpful tidbits about lesser known medical/psych contraindications and how to make more accurate psych diagnoses. My only complaint is the limited info on non-benzo treatments for anxiety. Yes, benzos are the go-to but many psychs are leaning away from them because of dependency issues and I think this area deserves more discussion than a few sentences. But anyway, all in all the price/value makes it a 5 star purchase! If you’re in the field you won’t regret this buy.*A quick aside — this is a pocket guide/primer. NOT a desk reference. If you are seeking a complete psychopharm manual you will need to fork over for Stahl’s prescriber’s text. Around $50-$70 for the 6th edition used here on Amazon as of 10/2017 and worth every penny.*

I'm doing a psychiatry elective rotation towards getting my MD right now.Like most psychiatry offices today, the focus is a lot on prescribing the right meds.I brought this book into work the day after I received it in the mail and showed it to the PA's, MDs', nurse practitioners, psychologists etc, and they were all in love with it instantly (as was I).No other guide sums up the important need-to-knows and essential bullet points for meds like this book. Not only that, but at a price that even a starving student can afford.Also it is cutting edge and extremely up to date with the newest information (we saw one particular antidepressant in the book that we didn't recognize and the next day a pharm rep came buy to to announce the exact same new drug was becoming available!).Needless to say, all the clinicians in my practice went ahead and bought copies of the book for themselves and it has definitely changed some of the staff's prescribing habits.Very highly recommend!!

I ordered this book based on a recommendation from a friend of mine. It was just ok. I have worked with mental health patients and psychotropics for many years (as a nurse). If I didn't have that background, I guess I would think more of this book. It is well written and easy to understand. It flows logically to this reader. The information is relevant and pertinent. However, I did not learn anything new. I think I was expecting information that was more specific. This book offers basic generalizations and recommends many other texts as a resource for greater details. As a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student, I find this book acceptable, but not relevant to my individual needs. For someone who has little to no background knowledge on the subject matter, this is a brief overview.

I got this book for CE credits, and I really enjoyed reading it. It's short and easy to read in one sitting. The authors make it very easy to understand psychopharmacology and it's clinical uses. I always enjoy clinical case examples and this book provided several that gives more practical comprehension.

Doesn't really explain much, just a bunch of lists of the meds ands possible side affects . Needed it for a class.

It takes each disorder and lets you know what medication to use,and potential side effects to each of the medication.

I have to preface this by saying I'm only about 1/3 in. That said, this is simply the best book on UE4 I've read, and I've at least skimmed them all. The reason is that it's perhaps the only one written for people who actually have things to do and other things to do with their lives. That is, the author assumes you're not an idiot, and there are no endless pages wasted explaining why a file system is important. It gets to the point: making an environment that looks good and is navigable, and does so succinctly and with a great deal of elegance and thought. For every ten pages of blather that other books bulk out with explaining what you can pick up from the first three Epic/Unreal videos on YouTube, this book efficiently explains some tricky thing having to do with the interpretation of normal maps that you'd waste hours on the question boards with. Well-written, clear, concise, VERY helpful.

Clear and detailed, this spells out a lot of the features of Unreal Engine concisely. Worth the price of admission. I found the lighting and materials chapters for architectural visualization the most useful.

Very good.book for who interest to build VR for visual design (not gaming) by UE4 and don't want to know very detail of program.

This book is not a helpful or cost effective resource for someone that wants to actually LEARN HOW to use Unreal Engine for non-game projects. It is no more than a high level overview of some of the tools and concepts of Unreal. Zero real-world or even usable examples and very poorly printed screen shot images make this book highly overpriced imo. All the same exact info (but with better screenshots and specific solutions/methods of Unreal development) is available for FREE on Epic’s Unreal learning website. Don’t waste your time and money with this text unless you have never heard of Unreal Engine and just need an overview. Quite disappointed and returning it now.
